This bar and oven restaurant is the epitome of high quality products and an eclectic blend of offerings. The culinary art happening in the kitchen and wood burning oven is matched with the local and international bar offerings. The atmosphere of the space reflects the menu. The menu consists of common food types but are prepared with unique and quality ingredients. This concept translates into the design decisions of the restaurant. The overall design is a refined industrial style which uses a similar concept of simplified materials that are implemented in custom unique ways. Common materials such as pizza paddles, kegs, metal, and wood are utilized and complimented throughout the space in unique and dynamic installations on feature walls, custom lighting, and partitions dividing up specific areas of the restaurant, bar, and party room.

LA FRONTERA

This Mexican restaurant captures the essence of the culture of Mexico by implementing the use of vibrant colors, patterned textiles, bold combinations, and patchwork wall of framed tapestry blankets to blend the culture's modern and traditional aesthetics. Patterned accent tiles represent and interpret the patterned tiles that can be seen through different homes and small businesses much like on the streets of Mexico. To balance the vibrancy and brightness of colors, neutral tones are integrated throughout the spaces but also still portray the ornamentation of the Mexican culture.

"Modern American cuisine with a twist and a bold menu with southern flair." The design had a lot to stand up to from the food. The existing space was average with a sea of tables and lacked ambiance. The hotel had recently undergone some modernization with a lot of white with black accents. For the restaurant, which strictly serves dinner and is entered by descending a few feet from the lobby, the concept was to juxtapose the hotel scheme with a more dramatic story of navy, charcoal, walnut tones, and tufted upholstery playing to the southern flair while white accents in the trim, table, and bar top played to the modern with a twist.

GOOD FOOD
North Little Rock, Arkansas
Welcoming the existing building’s retro elements, it was determined to develop a retro diner meets Mad Men aesthetic. The design is unified by a palette based in black and white with strategic pops of bright colors and repetitive retro graphics. The bar is the hub of the restaurant, with the design a dance between casual and sophisticated. Classic items like the tufted white barstools, raised paneling, and globe pendants pair with sputnik-inspired chandeliers, vintage-inspired carpet, and graphic motifs create a well-orchestrated, transformative space that lets the food be the star, creating a restaurant as simple and beautiful as the food served.

THE MAIN CHEESE

Serving gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and more, the modern and eclectic restaurant design creates a casual dining experience bridging a classic, contemporary, and cool aesthetic appreciated by a range of patrons. While the dining offerings expand the classic grilled cheese by introducing innovative, gourmet creations, the interior design parallels this approach by engaging classic and modern elements in interesting and fun ways. Reclaimed wood and brick walls create thoughts of the space’s history, while chrome light fixtures, molded plastic chairs, graphic patterns and a colorful palette bring excitement and novelty to the environment.

LITTLE GREEK

Little Greek in Little Rock is the first Arkansas restaurant of the regional franchise. Our client desired for this restaurant to represent the fundamental elements of the Little Greek franchise, while adding a modern flair to the Greek cultural elements. The renovation of a full-service burger restaurant into an upscale, fast-casual Greek fare was achieved by integrating an open kitchen, pick-up and dine-in ordering station, and an open and inviting dining area. A Greek color pallete based off such notorious towns such as Santorini can be seen throughout the stone feature walls, wood wall panels, rich paint colors, and variety of seating types. Wall banquets, free-standing tables, booths, high-top bar seating, and an umbrella-covered patio allowed for great diversity in seating.

SANTO COYOTE

The 4,900 sf tenant finish out was completed in the Summer of 2012. The full service restaurant and cantina incorporates an innovative division of spaces and unique finishes and lighting throughout. All of which were selected with the creative design concept based around the Mexican desert at sunset as the driving force. Considering the arrival and experience throughout the spaces was an important part of the design process. This mid to upper end project features a hostess foyer with curved wall and fiber optic ceiling, a large bar and cantina space as well as a more intimate dining area with ambiant lighting. Custom booths, tables, and banquettes were also used throughout the project.

EL PORTON

With successful El Porton restaurants in other parts of the Little Rock metro area, the restaurant owners wanted to expand into west Little Rock with a restuarant that would provide a unique, mexican dining experience. Niches set under stucco arches, capiz shell details, soft curves in ceiling clouds and accent flooring designs, along with a cohesive color pallete of oranges and turquoises all contributed to the calming, Caribbean design concept. The effective remodel of an existing bistro into this restaurant and cantina was achieved with creative space planning and the reinvention of existing materials.

CAJUN'S WHARF
Little Rock, Arkansas
The underlying concept chosen for the remodel was to reference the Arkansas River, which the bar and the adjoining restaurant overlook. The concept of the river was represented by defi ning this body of water. The two story space helped define the basic concept of “above and below the water.” Throughout the first floor cool blue shades and low light levels were used to reflect the underwater experience. All new to the design, are plush seating arrangements, banquette dining areas, as well as an open viewable pizza kitchen. For the bar itself, a collaboration with the architect resulted in a wave of motion. The serpentine shaped bar has acrylic backlit panels, reminiscent of water, applied to the face.
