RETAIL PROJECTS

BEIGE BOUTIQUE
Little Rock, Arkansas

Located downtown, this boutique offers a curated collection of contemporary clothing and accessories of off luxury basics, event wear, accessories and footwear. A closet-like shopping experience in a soft, neutral environment were key fundamentals to the concept. The store itself is to be a sophisticated, simple, yet stunning backdrop to the primarily neutral merchandise. Neutral is a key element, so much so that the store’s name is a neutral color, literally. An open floor plan that allows natural light to flood the space, organized closet-like built-ins, hanging rods, and shelves, along with furniture-like displays and soft furnishings results in an airy, chic, and modern design replicating shopping in your own closet or at least one belonging to a super-chic friend.

HIPSWAY BOUTIQUE
Conway, Arkansas

HipSway is a boutique that reflects today's modern girl. It is fun, funky, flirty and fresh. The expansion of this tenate space created a linear floor plan, which presented a challenge to create a site line to all points of the store. The materials used were a mix of industrial, natural and feminine materials. The industrial and natural elements, including galvanized pipes, wood pallets, and reclaimed wood, were softened with the use of vintage velvets and jewel tones along with a boxwood wall creating texture and dimension.

SCARLET
Little Rock, Arkansas

Scarlet is a landmark in the Little Rock fashion industry. After helping Scarlet open their store in 2004, nearly ten years later, Williams & Dean was employed to help Scarlet with their new 5,500 s.f. flagship storefront. A pallet of black and white with accents of antique brass served as the basis of design allowing for the ever-changing clothing to really be the focus. The space-planning of this store was really crucial in order to allow for sight-lines to all corners of the store. Centralized dressing rooms situated on an angle were located adjacent to the cash wrap, so the stylists could engage with the clients. It was essential to the owner, the dressing rooms and racks be well lit to best showcase the merchandise. An effective lighting package was developed with cove lighting, recessed linear lights, decorative pendants, and LED back-lit niches.

THE TOGGERY
Little Rock, Arkansas

Creating a fun, interactive environment for patrons and their children was a driving force for this near 6,000sf retail space. Interactive play areas and energetic colors were used to promote exploration and in turn encourage increased sales. The owners desired for this new store to have some of the same touches customers have expected from them since 1948, while also designing a store that would gain new clients. Sufficient space for uniforms, maximizing linear hanging space, and encouraging patrons to look at more than what they visited the store for, were all key elements in the design. Millwork for creative hanging and toy displays in addition to custom designed portable merchandise racks helped achieve the client’s requests.

MINX BOUTIQUE
Little Rock, Arkansas

Minx brings New York’s high-fashion boutique clothing to Little Rock. A well-executed floor plan and interior design scheme create the perfect platform for these exclusive wears. High contrasting black and white surfaces create drama, and pops of color add an element of playful enthusiasm. Changes in floor pattern and stain divide the spaces according to their function. Each clothing line is displayed inside a series of framed nooks, which give depth, interest, and rhythm to the long, narrow tenant space. Shimmering light fixtures heighten the feeling of glamour, while the dressing rooms, each inspired by a different Hollywood starlet, give patrons a sense of whimsy and complete the high-fashion experience.
