SPECIALTY PROJECTS

FIRE STATION
North Little Rock, AR

When the North Little Rock Fire Department needed a new station to replace an aging location, they looked to the latest fire station design standards of NFPA 1500, 1710, and 1851.  They wanted a modern station that prioritized the health and safety of the career firefighters.  The resulting design incorporated a zoned layout for the control and elimination of carcinogens and contaminants.  The Hot and Cold Zones are separated by a transitional air lock to keep the contaminants out of the Living Quarters.

STAYBRIDGE SUITES COURTYARD
Little Rock, Arkansas

It was important to redesign the building and outdoor spaces of the hotel so as to appeal to the business traveler but also for families traveling for leisure. The courtyard is an extension of the interior space that reflects natural habitats of the city while creating quaint spaces for guests to rest, have breakfast or even gather for meetings. The color palette and design represent a soft-contemporary style while the gray stone and carefully selected plantings encourages a warm and home-like aesthetic. The privacy of the pavilion allows guests to have co-workers, family or friends come enjoy a home-cooked meal on the grill with ample seating space.

UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS - HONORS LOUNGE
Fayetteville, Arkansas

The client wanted the honors lounge to be a space that was “on-trend” and targeted their student demographic, ages 18-24. Modernization and functionality were key elements integrated in this remodel. The concept for this project was to create a space that encouraged students to stay in the building, study between or after classes and feel a sense of belonging to the college. This soft cotemporary scheme along with utilizing scale, proportion, repetition, and focal points effectively with furniture, art, and patterned finishes created a space that attracts students and promotes learning and creativity. The client saw this space as one that would also be a great marketing tool for perspective students.

PINNACLE FORD
North Little Rock, Arkansas

As a long standing business, Pinnacle Ford needed a state of the art facility to reinforce and expand that reputation. The overall concept is industrial and progressive with large volumes and contemporary design which echoes the company’s focus on technological advancement. In addition, utilizing warm materials to define smaller interior spaces and to separate circulation space from functional space fosters the companies tradition of person-to-person interaction.
